Carter Sampson (USA)

Carter Sampson is an Oklahoma born and raised, award-winning singer songwriter. She tours nationally and internationally playing both solo and with her trio & band. Sampson has released six studio albums including her newest release GOLD.

Hertford is the first show on Carter Sampson's 2026 UK solo tour. Because the show coincides with the first England match of the World Cup, this show will start at 6:30 and finish at 8:30, hopefully giving people time to get home before the 9 p.m. kickoff. Anyone who can't get home in time or just fancies company is very welcome to crowd around my TV.

Carter's journey as a naturally independent, free-spirited musician has seemed almost predestined at times. At age 15 she began experimenting with sound as a way to pass the time; now her creativity has matured into the dedicated and passionate performance that makes her a favourite female vocalist.

“I’m pretty much the same me working on the same goals … maybe a little more grown up. I think I am more confident than I was when I first started playing. I’ve always been brave, but I’m more sure of myself now,” Sampson said.

She is also the founder and director of The Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls OKC, a nonprofit volunteer-run organisation that empowers girls through music education.
